At ArtMaster, we’ve always believed that music is for everyone. But for many children and families, access to music education is still out of reach — not because of talent or motivation, but because of circumstances beyond their control.
Maybe they grew up in a children’s home. Maybe they’re a single parent juggling too much. Or maybe they’re living with serious illness or the effects of long-term stress. These are the people we think about when we say: talent doesn’t care where you’re born — so neither should access to learning.

Helping young musicians get started
That belief is what led us to offer full, free access to ArtMaster for children growing up in children’s homes. Our team of musician-teachers provides complete lessons in piano, guitar, music theory and more — all completely free.
But we don’t stop at lessons. We mentor these children, encourage them, and provide them with real instruments to practise on. For many, it’s the first time they’ve ever had the chance to play.
Some of these children are now writing songs of their own. Others are using music as a way to express things they could never quite say before. That’s the power of simply being given a chance.
Access to music for those who need it most
Over time, this mission has grown. Today, we’re proud to offer completely free ArtMaster access to:
👩👧 Single mothers and fathers — often juggling work, parenting, and personal challenges, music offers them a way to reconnect with themselves.
💛 Bátor Tábor (Camp of Courage) — a Central European therapeutic recreation programme founded in 2001, offering free, camp‑and‑online experiences to seriously or chronically ill children and their families. They’ve reached over 25,000 children across Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia
🧠 Nadace Bona-OPS (Bona Foundation) — a Prague‑based organisation providing specialised social services and holistic support to adults with experience of mental illness, offering outreach, supported housing, employment assistance, and community reintegration support since the mid‑1990s
Why music matters
Learning music isn’t just a hobby. For many, it’s a lifeline.
Studies show that playing an instrument can reduce anxiety, improve focus, support emotional healing — and even boost long-term physical health.
👉 Can playing music help you live longer? Science says yes.
That’s why our partnership with Nadace Bona-OPS means so much. With them, we’re helping people not only learn music, but also rebuild confidence, create moments of peace, and rediscover joy.
Likewise, through Spolu s odvahou, we’ve seen how music can bring comfort in incredibly difficult times. Whether it’s strumming a ukulele in a hospital room or playing a simple melody for a sibling, these musical moments bring connection, relief, and even laughter.
👉 Why learning music is one of the best things your child can do
Your learning helps someone else
Here’s the part we’re most proud of: every single course purchase on ArtMaster helps fund this work.
So when you start a piano course, explore songwriting, or pick up your first guitar lesson — you’re not just learning for yourself.
You’re helping someone else discover music, too.
“We wanted to build something bigger than a music platform — something that opens doors for people who wouldn’t otherwise get the chance.”
— Radim Vysoky, founder of ArtMaster
Got a spare instrument?
That second-hand guitar or ukulele in your cupboard? It could become someone’s first creative outlet.
We’ve already donated dozens of instruments to children’s homes and families in need. It’s a small gesture — but the spark it creates can be life-changing.
🎁 If you'd like to donate an instrument, we'd love to hear from you.

Looking ahead
We’re just getting started.
In the next year, we plan to expand our outreach to more countries, offer lessons in more languages, and connect even more learners with musicians who care. We're also building more tools and resources to support students at every stage — and developing Artie, our upcoming AI music teacher, to make personalised learning even more accessible.
Because for us, this isn’t just about playing an instrument.
It’s about courage. Expression. Connection.
